Live Streaming to Paired Device

Streaming is a key function of the mina app and this is certainly the case when using it in conjunction with X-Range equipment. Originally designed to allow users a way to duplicate the Maxprobe inspection system video stream and control its functions remotely, it has now become a standalone recording hub dedicated to control and record video surveys from X-Range equipment. To use this function you will need to have purchased an X-Range system from Scanprobe Techniques. Although the app can still be used to duplicate and control the Maxprobe inspection system, much of this feature is aimed towards X-Range products.

Mapping

Using Google Maps technology, the engineer can create a detailed map of the surveyed area in order to clearly plot the key markers from the survey. So instead of a survey report being accompanied by a hand-drawn sketch, sometimes not in ideal sketching conditions, anyone picking up a particular job can easily determine the exact location of the stretch of pipeline that has been surveyed from a satellite view of the area, marked out by industry-recognised icons all through the mina app. mina also allows the engineer to import this detailed map directly into the survey created on your pipeline inspection camera system, immediately enhancing the look and value of your survey.

There are two mina report styles that can be generated from within the Maxprobe, these include... Standard mina - this style of report is designed specifically for Engineers that want a no fuss PDF report without the need to use WRc coding to generate it. WRC mina - this style of report uses WRc coding to generate the report, and exports an xml file for use in third party reporting software.

My personal hotspot is not connecting?

Personal hotspot is disabled on iOS if you have no service, please ensure your device has 4G or 5G signal and try again.

I have no picture when I am trying to stream the video?

Reboot the X-Range/Control Box. Restart the mina app and try again.

mina app fails to connect?

Make sure you have mobile signal and your “Personal hotspot” is turned on

I clicked "Don't Trust when prompted and now i have no functionality

Unplug your device and turn off the system. Cleat the app cache and start again ensuring you click the “Trust” option when prompted.

How do I change the counter unit from meters to feet?

Go to settings on your iOS device and scroll down to the mina app. Check the “Coiler units” and change accordingly.

I can't record with premium features?

Close the app and clear the cache, then restart mina.

I get 'Transfer Failed' when trying to receive a PDF report?

Make sure you have a mina or WinCan survey opened on your Control Box & you have finalised the report you wish to transfer.

USB icon does not appear on my Control Box?

Make sure you have mobile signal and your “Personal Hotspot” is turned on.

What are premium features?

Premium features offer users the ability to add Titles and Observation text to their recordings as well as distance counter and remote sonde functionality.
